Easter celebrates that Jesus is alive, victorious over sin and death — and because of that, we can have hope, forgiveness, and eternal life. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for humanity’s sin. His resurrection shows that death and sin were defeated, offering forgiveness and reconciliation with God.
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” — Matthew 28:6
Easter promises that death is not the end. Just as Jesus rose again, those who put their trust in Him will also experience resurrection and eternal life through faith in Him. Easter also demonstrates the depth of God’s love for us — that He was willing to sacrifice His Son so we could be restored to Him.
